ANSTO is home to Australia’s most significant landmark and national infrastructure for nuclear science and technology research.
At Lucas Heights, Marathon successfully delivered a state-of-the-art Campus Development Hub for ANSTO. This comprehensive project included various essential facilities, including a spacious open-plan office area, well-appointed meeting rooms, a kitchen space, a versatile boardroom, necessary amenities, ample storage rooms, and a dedicated cleaner’s room.
The Campus Development Hub features a modern, eye-catching facade that seamlessly blends with the typically Australian landscape, characterised by iconic gum trees. This integration with the natural surroundings provides a harmonious and aesthetically pleasing environment. A monochrome colour palette in modular construction is a popular design choice that brings a sense of sophistication and elegance to the built environment. Modular structures can achieve a sleek and cohesive aesthetic by utilising a monochromatic scheme of various shades and tones of a single colour.
Throughout the entire construction process, ANSTO’s operations continued without interruption, showcasing Marathon’s expertise in delivering projects with minimal disruption. The completed project met the desired objectives and highlighted the significant advantages of using permanent modular solutions.
